As a responsible corporate citizen, we want to make a difference by supporting communities in need of basic dental care.

Corporate Sponsoring

We sponsor various initiatives that provide access to dental treatment and education about oral hygiene. All requests for Corporate Sponsoring are evaluated by an internal committee that reports regularly to the Executive Management Board. Each project is evaluated in terms of fundamental human needs and the expectations of our stakeholders.

Sponsored projects

There are several good causes we have continuously lent our support to:

  • Straumann AID (Access to Implant Dentistry) is a global initiative donating Straumann products for patients who need implant treatment but are unable to afford it
  • Ectodermal Dysplasia refers to a group of genetic disorders characterized by abnormal development of the skin and associated structures. Patients typically have few teeth, which are usually severely misformed. The US-based National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasia (NFED) is committed to providing help and hope to families around the globe who are affected by this condition.
  • Cleft lips and palates are one of the most common major birth defects in developing countries. Straumann is sponsoring free surgeries for children with clefts.

Responsible and ethical behavior

Our expectations regarding ethical behavior and upholding human rights are clearly outlined in our Code of Conduct.

Since we expect the same behavior from our supplier, we have also devised a Supplier Code of Conduct. The code specifies our expectations regarding working conditions, human rights protection and business ethics.
