Dr. James Mah

Dr. James Mah is a Professor in Residence and Program Director in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. He specializes in orthodontic aligners, CBCT, and botulinum toxin use for bruxism. Dr. Mah earned his DDS, MSc, and Orthodontics Certificate from the University of Alberta, and a Doctorate of Medical Science from Harvard University. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics and a reviewer for leading orthodontic journals. A pioneer in aligner biomechanics and design, Dr. Mah has been actively involved in aligner research and development for over 20 years. His extensive contributions to the field have earned him recognition among the top 0.5% of scholars worldwide, according to the 2024 ScholarGPS rankings.
