Lucrezia Paternò Holtzman is a specialist in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry with a private practice in Rome, Italy. She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), the Societa’ Italiana di Paradontologia (SIdP), the European Academy of Osseointegration (EAO) and the ITI (International Team for Implantology). She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, Italy. Dr. Paternò Holtzman then completed a three year Residency program in Periodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston (USA).
During her residency she was actively involved in research, and also received an advanced dental Master of Science (MSc) degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Paternò Holtzman was then awarded the Implant Periodontal and Prosthetics Fellowship at the University of Maryland Dental School where she was in residence for a year. She was then awarded the international ITI Scholarship in Rome, Italy at the Eastman Dental Hospital. She established a private practice in Rome, while continuing as an active member of the ITI, and continuing with clinical research. She is currently a member of the Junior Committee of the EAO and of the International Young ITI groups.
