Katsuichiro Maruo

Dr. Maruo is a Japanese prosthodontist and implantologist with extensive clinical, academic, and educational experience. He received his DDS and PhD from Tokyo Medical and Dental University and completed an ITI Scholarship at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is an ITI Fellow, Young ITI Delegate for ITI Section Japan, and a specialist certified by both the Japanese Society of Oral Implantology and the Japan Prosthodontic Society. His clinical interests include immediate implant placement and loading, esthetic implant therapy, full-arch rehabilitation, digital dentistry, guided surgery, photogrammetry, and bone augmentation. He currently serves as an implant supervising doctor, treating numerous advanced implant cases each year. He also teaches at several Japanese dental universities and lectures internationally. His work focuses on integrating evidence-based dentistry, digital technology, and practical clinical workflows to improve treatment predictability and patient-centered outcomes.
