Basel, Switzerland, March 8, 2011 – The International Team for Implantology (ITI), a leading academic organization dedicated to the promotion of evidence-based education and research in the field of implant dentistry, announced that submissions for the prestigious André Schroeder Research Prize are being accepted as of today.
With a cash value of CHF 20,000, the André Schroeder Research Prize is today one of the most highly sought-after awards in implant dentistry. It is awarded to independent researchers for the advancement of dental research and development with the aim to promote new scientific findings in implant dentistry, oral tissue regeneration and related fields. The annual award is adjudicated by the ITI Research Committee which is made up of international specialists in implant dentistry and related fields. In 2011, it will be presented at the ITI Congress Japan which will take place from July 30 to 31 in Yokohama.
The award was established almost 20 years ago and is presented in honor of the late Professor André Schroeder (1918-2004), the founding ITI President, who pioneered implant dentistry and whose lifework contributed significantly to modern dentistry.
All researchers who have demonstrated new findings in implant dentistry and related fieldsare invited to apply for the 2011 André Schroeder Research Prize. The deadline for manuscript submission is April 15, 2011.
