Diploma in Dental  Implantology (EduQual Level 7)

The overall aim of the Diploma in Dental Implantology is to provide education and training to enable dental practitioners to practice implant dentistry to a high standard and in the best interests of the patient

Programme Objectives:

• To provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills that will enable them to deal with implants patients.
• To provide an opportunity for the participants to prepare a portfolio of implant cases that must be successfully treated under the close supervision of expert clinicians.
• To develop a Professional Development Plan in line with the GDC guidance for lifelong learning and to update this as the delegate education and competence evolves.

Module Two: Introduction to Guided bone regeneration

• Principles of Guided bone regeneration
• Hands-on practical : GBR procedures
• Hands-on : Implant placement with patients

Module Three: Implant placements

• Hands-on intensive implant placement with patients

Module Four: Introduction to implant restoration

• Case selection and treatment planning presentations
• Hands-on : GBR patient's follow up
• Introduction to Restoring dental implants
• Impression techniques: traditional and digital

Module Five: Restorative day: impressions taking

• Hands-on : Live patient Impressions for Restoring implants
• Digital workflow vs Traditional impression

Module Six: Crown Fit

• Management of complications
• Hands-on : Crown fitting
