Simpler, Faster, More Predictable? How Novel Technologies and Materials Are Shaping Timing in Implantology.
Recent innovations in implant planning and prosthetic workflows are dramatically transforming how we approach treatment. As these advancements reshape clinical decision-making, this lecture will explore the interaction between timing protocols, digital technologies, and new prosthetic materials in implant dentistry.
We will discuss:
• Timing protocols, with a focus on immediate loading and its expanding applications from a prosthetic perspective.
• Digital workflows, from computer-aided implant surgery (CAIS) to provisionalization and customized healing solutions, and how they enhance predictability and eSiciency.
• AI-assisted planning and restoration design, examining its current role and future potential.
• New prosthetic and restorative materials, particularly 3D-printed options—what do we know about their biocompatibility, mechanical properties, tips & tricks for better outcomes, and long-term performance?
Participants will gain practical guidelines for selecting the right timing protocols, technologies, and materials to optimize implant planning based on prosthetic principles.
