This ITI course specifically for dental assistants who wish for a greater understanding of implant dentistry. Implant dentistry has revolutionised dentistry and is now part of routine dental care. Knowledge of treatment protocols and equipment is paramount for successful management of the patient by the dental team.From patient assessment to implant restoration, the course provides an overview of the management of a patient with implants as well hands-on training with the componentry used in both surgical placement and restoration. It is specifically designed for dental assistants and is taught by experienced dentists as well as experienced dental assistants, who will provide the hands-on training.This one day course will provide understanding of what the dentist does, how the dental assistant is involved and familiarity with the componentry and clinical set up in practice. The course would suit dental assistants interested in getting involved or those who have just started in implant dentistry.
