Descripción

ITI Annual Section Meeting BeLux 2024 with Leon Pariente & Karim Dada:

The Full arch implant-supported bridge from A to Z.

Despite constant advances in treatment and access to care, complete edentulism remains a widespread disability. What's more, although epidemiological studies show a percentage decrease in the number of edentulous patients, they also confirm an increase in the number of edentulous patients, and a growing number of candidates for full edentulous procedures.

Unfortunately, conventional removable full dentures are not enough to solve a problem that many patients still experience as a severe handicap.

At the same time, technological advances in implant treatment are increasingly reported in the media, generating ever-growing demand from patients seeking to improve their quality of life and benefit from what Branemark called the third dentition.

Implant treatment with fixed prostheses for edentulous patients can therefore be a source of stress and anxiety for practitioners unfamiliar with these therapies.

Leon Pariente:

Dr. Pariente earned his DDS degree from the University of Paris René Descartes, in 2009. He enrolled at New York University College of Dentistry in the Advanced Program for International Dentists in Implant Dentistry (graduated 2012). After returning to Paris, his private practice is limited to Implantology and Periodontology. He is also working as a part-time member of the faculty in the Implant Department at the University Paris V. He co-authored several international and national publications on implant dentistry and is currently involved in several research projects at the University of Paris René Descartes on immediate implant placement and sinus lift procedures.

Karim Dada:

A graduate of the Université Paris Descartes and a former resident in Odontology at the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, Dr. Dada has had a private practice in Paris limited to periodontology and implant surgery since 2005. The author of numerous national and international publications, and a regular guest speaker at conferences in France and abroad, he devotes a significant part of his practice to the rehabilitation of the totally edentulous. Vice-president and founding member of the French Society for the Treatment of the Totally Edentulous, he has published several books on the subject with Quintessence publishing: Les traitements prothétiques et implantaires de l'édenté complet mandibulaire in 2005, Les traitements implantaires par NobelGuide in 2007, Esthetics and Implants for the Maxillary Totally Edentulous in 2009, which has been translated into several languages, and finally in 2022, with more than 18 contributors, Les traitements prothétiques et implantaires de l'édenté total 2.0. A pioneer in the use of computer-assisted implantology, Dr. Dada has developed several immediate loading and extraction-implantation protocols for the edentulous patient, and it is this experience of almost 20 years that he intends to share with you in this training course.

Objetivos de aprendizaje

The aim of this training course is to answer all the questions raised by this therapeutic proposal, and to propose a standardized approach for customized treatment of the edentulous patient.

Professional objectives

1- Design an implant project adapted to the patient and his/her clinical situation:

-Implant planning based on the patient's bone resorption status

-Draw up and implement an esthetic plan adapted to the patient's morphotype

-Identify the type of prosthetic restoration best suited to the clinical situation

-Identify complex cases at an early stage to minimize the risk of complications.

2- Implement the implant project efficiently:

-Select the implant system best suited to the surgical project

Use computer-assisted implantology to ensure reliable transfer of surgical planning

-Choose the loading protocol best suited to the clinical situation.

3- Produce a durable prosthesis that meets current scientific standards:

Master an impression-taking technique adapted to implant-supported fixed prostheses on multiple anchors.

-Materialize and refine the prosthetic project

-Select a prosthetic design adapted to the clinical situation

4- Implement an effective maintenance program and deal with complications
