This is a one-day course by Nurses for Nurses with both lectures and practical elements to help nurses learn the practical basics of dental implant nursing. The course will be held in a clinical environment (where possible), to help transfer the skills learnt from the course into practice. During the course we will cover the following:

• Hand hygiene· Donning and doffing – different techniques
• Instrument care – post op clear down/waste management
• Zoning and surgery set up
• Aseptic set up training· Implant placement – drill sequence· Motor set up – overcoming common errors
• Nursing for patient assessment
• Contraindications· Patient discussions and FAQS – post op care calls
• Pre op questions· Restorative training – after the placement- what is next- appointment sequencing

At the end of the course, we will provide you with a certificate for the CPD completed on the course.
