Your tasks

    Analyze Marketing & Events spend, review existing processes and internal client needs and develop a long range plan of 1-3 years for sourcing in these targeted spend areas. Address within sourcing strategy, Straumann’s required savings and compliance targets as well as improvement plans for enhanced service delivery.
    Target strategic suppliers for on-going supplier management, risk mitigation, quality improvement and cost savings.
    Develop and execute a negotiation strategy to achieve the best Total Cost of Ownership for Services with proven, auditable metrics, which will be reported monthly.
    Implement and monitor efficient sourcing processes in accordance with Straumann global policies and procedures.
    Build relationships with Straumann USA stakeholders and internal functional managers to achieve consensus on goals and objectives within Straumann.
    Identify and target savings opportunities within category to optimize commodity/services budgets. By analyzing TCO, launch RFP’s to drive competition and innovative solutions. Use marketplace benchmarking to assess and understand new opportunities/solutions to be developed, remain up to date on relevant industry trends, understand capabilities of new entrants into the market, and understand category cost drivers & pricing targets.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:
    Participate and/or lead group strategy sessions for Local as well as some Global Sourcing Projects
    Prepare, negotiate and implement contracts in conjunction with corporate attorneys
    Manage commodity/service suppliers and hold supplier reviews
    Engage internal process owners as necessary to ensure a comprehensive and thorough implementation approach. May include but not be limited to: Legal, Finance & Accounting, IT.

Your profile

    Requirements
    5-10 years sourcing experience and expertise including knowledge of purchasing tools such as Purchasing Card, Supplier Diversity, eProcurement, etc.
    Minimum 5-7 years proven purchasing experiences in Indirect Sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier management; commodities/services in Marketing & Events required.
    Experience and competence in using integrated ERP software. SAP experience is a plus.
    A strong knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures and practices including compliance with an ability to apply experience as necessary.
    Well versed in contract terminology and use of standard purchasing terms and conditions.
    Experience in working within a multi-cultural environment and/or non-US based company
    Proven project management skills.
    Comfortable engaging with all levels of our global matrix organization including Directors, Executive, Vice and at times the C suite
    Expert MS Office skills, emphasis on Excel and ability to complete complex spend or data analysis upon which business decisions will be based.
    Presentation skills, especially in dealing with various levels of management.
    Expert Excel abilities and very strong presentation skills to all levels of our organization with and without the use of PowerPoint
    Ability and willingness to complete complex spend or data analysis (and present them using PowerPoint) upon which business decisions will be based
