The intensive course in Zygomatic Implants Fixation is offered to doctors who already work with dental implants and wish to perform practical and theoretical training for the treatment of the severely atrophic maxilla, with no need for bone grafts, with less trauma, lower cost and reduced treatment time. The course will be divided into theoretical activities regarding the rehabilitative and technical aspects of Zygomatic Implant treatments, and extensive practical activities. Lectures content will approach the main surgical techniques - such as Branemark’s classic technique and Stella’s exteriorization technique - as well as topics related to the indications of zygomatic implants, complications, Full Arch concept, and the prosthetic aspects related to the success of the technique. The practical content will include: laboratory hands-on surgical technique; patient hands on surgery at the clinic (patient under IV sedation) - each attendant will perform one zygomatic Implant surgery with two zygomatic implant placements; clinical prosthetic activities such as impression process; one surgery as a clinical assistant, and zygoma implant-supported prosthesis delivery. The attendants will follow all clinical stages of the zygomatic implants rehabilitation, from the clinic’s surgical procedure to the delivery of the definitive prosthesis with an immediate loading technique.
