The Evolution of the GM System

The initial studies and research that supported the development of the Grand Morse system started about 5 years ago. The team responsible for creating the system was aiming to find solutions for immediate loading, CAD CAM workflow and strengthen implants and abutments. A variety of clinical trials was performed in order to validate all solutions in different techniques, from single esthetic cases to full arches functional rehabilitations. The objective of the present presentation is to show in vitro and clinical applied research that will provide  evidences for the best outcomes taken from the use of this implant system under the described situations.

Guided Surgery Using Digital Workflow: Simplifying the Clinical Application for Anterior Esthetic Cases

One of the most challenging, stress inducing and time consuming aspects of surgical implantology is the spatially  perfect placement of an implant in the edentulous space at the time of surgery. This presentation is a review of how we can reduce the surgical chair time and improve outcome predictability by using a digitally fabricated surgical implant placement guide using a CBCT and digital scanning. This method allows the practitioner to conduct all required surgical preplanning, translate all data into a surgical guide and use this guide to surgically place the implant in the optimum position at the patients surgical appointment with higher confidence and less stress.

Dr. Daniel Noorthoek

Good Profit vs Bad Profit: The True Cost Of Focusing Only On The Bottom Line

Are you a doctor of the oral cavity? Your DDS or DMD degree is not enough to answer yes to that question. Even more important your lack of curiosity to learn more is hurting the level of relationship, value and trust you are building with your patients. Mastering the oral cavity involves an understanding of all the disciplines including Orthodontics. With this understanding your vision of the oral cavity will change and it will help you better understand how to communicate and treatment plan your cases. This depth of knowledge will in turn help you better position your business for good profits and help gain the trust of your patients.

Dr. Alfonso Monarres

The Digital Path to Full Arch Rehabilitation

The treatment of complete edentulism and terminal dentition with immediately loaded dental implant prostheses has become more popular due to the multiple advantages to patients over other traditional or removable options. Current improvements in digital tools and modern technology allow the team of clinicians and laboratory to provide this treatment in a more efficient, faster, predictable and cost effective way for both the team and their patients receiving this treatment.

Participants will learn clinical protocols and the digital workflow implementing some of the currently available tools such as 3D face scanning for digital diagnosis & prosthetic design  and fabrication of interim and final prostheses utilizing current and new dental materials.

Time Speaker Topic Description
8:30AM-9:15AM Antonio Corradini MDT Diffierientiating Your Practice with the Digital Facebow The communication between the clinician and the technician has been an ongoing problem in dentistry. However, communication has shown to be a challenge , with limited records being employed . A digital alternative to analog and arbitrary mounting was developed to address the shortcoming of the traditional facebow and provide additional clinical information to arbitrary mounting . Depending on different Patients asymmetry , the reference points that have to be detected and used on Patient are also asymmetric and in the transfer with analog facebow in the Articulators we make mistakes that can occur in a not sufficiently accurate final restoration . The digital "Era" with Face scanning and the "CDP" ( Complete Digital Patient ) implemented in our Practice the possibility to have a lot of tools that allow us to analyze much more better our Patients . I will try to explain in my lecture the real advantage that we can have working digital and explain the advantages using a system with Face Hunter ( Complete Digital Patient ) and the Planesytem as a reference to transfer our Patients in the articulator.

Dr. Farshad Athari and Dr. Farid Ebrahim

3rdSET® is a Nevada based corporation that operates in multiple states. Current offices are located in Las Vegas and Phoenix, with affiliated offices in San Diego, San Jose, and Tijuana Mexico.  Athari and Ebrahim are currently training a new generation of dentists to grow the business concept from within. Their primary focus is full mouth reconstruction using Neodent implants. The training of other dentists in the field creates a far-reaching effect throughout the US.

It all started during a charity-based set of courses in Mexico in 2015. The patients required the removal of teeth and replacement utilizing implants. Dr. Athari and Dr. Ebrahim met many people involved with the program and its day to day operation. They quickly recognized the positive force behind the operation, a genuine passion for the health and well-being of the patient and the potential to educate more doctors in the field of dental implantology.

Together the doctors have performed countless surgeries over the last four years, created content for professional lectures, formulated the concept and implemented their ideas in concert to develop 3rdSET® Implant Solutions.

While their current focus is to provide the highest level of care to patients able to acquire premium care, their long-term goal is to build an organization able to sustain a branch explicitly constructed to work with and through charity programs that would fund treatment for those less fortunate and bring the gift of functional and esthetic teeth back to those who have lost it.

Both doctors are educators as well as dental professionals. They have traveled the world working with, learning from, and teaching other dentists. In doing so, they have learned from the best in the world and passed that knowledge to those interested in expanding their expertise.

In 1999, in Chicago, Dr. Athari graduated from Northwestern University Dental School. He quickly relocated to Phoenix, AZ, where together with fellow alumnus, Dr. Farid Ebrahim he founded Nordent, LLC.

In 2008, Dr. Athari relocated from Phoenix, AZ, to Las Vegas, NV, to be near family. He continued his education, built a successful dental practice based on the concept of One-on-One dentistry, and has been able to ‘give back’ by working with a charity providing dental care to those in need. Dr. Athari became very interested in digital dentistry as well as surgical video presentations and has created a vast library of different surgical procedures for professional dental education as well as patient-friendly educational videos with Dr. Ebrahim. For more involved and complicated surgeries, both doctors prefer to perform those surgeries together as a team while they get recorded for future education.

Shahin Safarian, DMD, MBA

In three words Shahin is hard working, persistent and a lifelong learner. He’s lived in the San Diego area for nearly 30 years where he has started 3 dental clinics from scratch. Since graduating from the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston in 2001 Shahin has averaged more than 150 continuing education hours a year, receiving training in cosmetic dentistry, TMJ and orthodontic treatments. Running his own clinics has taught him a great deal about customer service and marketing, and his inspiring success prompted him to start 7 Figure Dental Practice in an effort to assist other dental practitioners in achieving their own business dreams.

Success is not something you can just have in a blink of an eye. It requires hard work, consistency, self-belief, self discipline, accountability and determination. Similar to other successful people you have read from books or seen on television, Dr. Shahin Safarian also has his own success story to reveal. Stories that will not only motivate, encourage and inspire everyone, but will also help individuals tap and achieve their highest potential.

Before pursuing his career as a top dentist in San Diego, he dedicated his earlier years to soccer and played professional soccer for the San Diego Sockers and Puebla F.C. Being a soccer player was not that easy, but Dr. Safarian did his best to overcome all the challenges that came up. Being naturally competitive, Dr. Safarian realized that growth and learning should continue all throughout life and should not end with formal education.

“Being a passionate dentist, I always value the importance of investing for my education. If you want to get the best of what you pay for, you should invest time, effort, hard work, dedication, and passion for what you are trying to learn about. I strongly believe that investing for advanced training in business and marketing is something that will not only make your business more competitive but fully equipped and highly specialized as well. In my opinion, as a professional, you will only be able to win your clients full trust when they are certain that they are in good hands and in the right place when they choose to buy your services. My products and services are meant to help you learn how to do just that.”
