Dr. German Gallucci received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (Dr. Med. Dent.) from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion at the University of Geneva, where he later became a full-time faculty member. Gallucci also earned a PhD from the Free University of Amsterdam. In 2007, he established the Postgraduate Education Program in Oral Implantology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM). He is currently the department chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences.
Gallucci lectures and conducts seminars, practical courses, and table clinics at national and international meetings and symposia. He has authored numerous scientific publications in the fields of fixed prosthodontics and implant dentistry, with his work appearing in international peer-reviewed journals. Gallucci serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Dental Research (JDR), Clinical Oral Implants Research (COIR), and the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI). He is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) in Switzerland and an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration and the European Academy of Osseointegration.
Gallucci’s research interests include clinical and translational studies in fixed prosthodontics, oral implantology, and applied digital dental technology. He is the principal investigator (PI) of the oral implantology clinical research team at the Division of Regenerative and Implant Sciences at HSDM.
