Digital Workshops (8:00 AM-5:00 PM)

8:00 AM–10:00 PM
Digital Hands-On Workshop: Digital Workflow for Implant Planning and Guided Surgery

Dr. Andre DeSouza and Dr. Thaisa Bordin

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the critical steps in digital workflow applied for implant planning and guided surgery in partially and fully edentulous patients. The course includes an overview and how to use intra-oral scanning and how to obtain satisfactory patient data acquisition (intraoral surface scan, Cone-Beam Computed Tomography, and data superimposition). It will be also demonstrated how clinicians can decide about the best workflow (in-house versus outsource production) for their practice. A hands-on training in Co-DiagnostiX will provide participants the ability to perform a virtually plan a case and design a surgical guide.

10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Digital Hands-On Workshop: Scanning and Designing: 3D Printing

Brandon Dickerman

This hands-on workshop will explore the design and printing phase from surgical guides to nightguards. Participants will learn about 3D printing- what resins to choose based on what you are printing- from surgical guides to nightguards. We will discuss the importance of accurate data acquisition, and how to avoid pitfalls to ensure your communication with the lab is accurate. Participants will observe a 3D printer in action in the course, and also design a surgical guide and night guard.

1:00 AM–5:00 PM
The Future is Now: The State of the Art in Digital Surgical Treatment Planning

Nick Glickman

Predictable treatment success depends on comprehensive assessment and surgical planning, and selection of appropriate implants and custom restorative components. Technological advances in digital dentistry are rapidly changing the way the dental team practices in the operatory and laboratory.

This course will review recent advances in digital technology: the increasing importance of the partnership between the dentist and the lab; surgical planning software for implant placement and restoration; and the many benefits available to the treatment team when using digital dentistry solutions including AI technologies and all-digital pre-surgical & model free provisional solutions.

Special emphasis will be given to advances in full arch treatment planning and guide design concepts including stacked guides and guided full arch provisionals.

1:00 AM–5:00 PM
Digital Hands-On Workshop: Digital – Full Arch Workflow

Ron Roche

Take a deep dive into the full arch digital workflow. Nick Glickman and team will demonstrate the pre-op protocol to deliver full arch immediate temporaries without a denture conversion. Join us for a comprehensive review of our digital facebow, full arch design software and state-of-the-art printers and mills.

Zygomatic Workshops (8:00 AM-5:00 PM)

8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Zygomatic Treatment Approach – From Treatment Planning To Final Prosthetic Considerations

Dr. Edmond Bedrossian, Dr. Larry Brecht, Dr. Waldemar Polido

The evaluation of patients for immediate loading who have with terminal dentition, especially in the maxilla, may at times be challenging. This presentation and hands-on workshop will discuss and showcase simple pre-operative techniques to predictably evaluate the type of final prosthesis needed for this group of patients.  Patients generally are presented with treatment plans to undergo removal of their teeth followed by several months of wearing a nonfunctional full denture as the alveolar ridge heals. This is an uncomfortable phase of their treatment and therefore, many patients who may be presented with this treatment option chose not to have any form of treatment performed. In this workshop, several cases will be shown to demonstrate the efficacy of immediate loading the terminal dentition patient eliminating the denture wearing phase. Participants will practice the surgical technique and review prosthetic solutions for zygomatic treatment.
