Descripción

This live discussion will focus on the impacts of bone loss around implants in both periodontology and prosthodontics. And the second part will discuss ITI SAC classification and its application to mitigate risks in the practice. Young ITI Lounge aims to provide high level discussions on pertinent and trending topics within the Young ITI featuring Young Clinicians from the SEA Region, combined with Young ITI clinicians from other parts of the world. The engaging discussion is a primer to the plethora of resources within the ITI website that may prime young clinicians to provide practical, realistic and easily deployable solutions. Mitigating risk with the SAC assessment tool: The SAC assessment tool takes you through each step necessary to identify the degree of complexity and potential risk involved in individual implant dentistry cases in an easy-to-use process. This tool makes use of the ITI’s highly regarded classification system referred to as SAC—straightforward, advanced, complex. It reflects the normative guidelines developed by the ITI for various types of restorative and surgical cases Learning objectives: To understand the SAC classification and its updates. To recognise the benefits and drawbacks of the SAC classification. To assimilate the use of the SAC classification in practice. To be able to facilitate better communication with colleagues and gaining informed consent.
