During the summit, experts delivered high-quality lectures demonstrating different treatment options, and new tools, skills and services for digital treatment. Enthusiastic exchanges of opinion were made possible by interactive and engaging roundtable discussions throughout the day.
The Straumann® Pro Arch treatment concept respects the individual needs of each patient, offering clinicians a wide range of surgical and prosthetic options to provide immediate treatment. Professor João Caramês commented, “Pro Arch is extremely important because deep down it reflects the philosophy of patient-centric rehabilitation and not the technique itself. It allows us to adapt the technique to the patient and not the other way around. It’s a philosophy that has been around for 25 years that deep down reflects the need for individualization of our treatments according to the specific conditions of each patient.”
“Pro Arch is a great concept for our patients because it is based on customization,” said Dr. Massimo Frosecchi. “We cannot put all of our patients in a single box. We have to customize the treatment, not just with respect to the best choice of treatment, but also the expectations, compliance, and many other factors.”
“To have different solutions for different patients – it’s not just like placing a structure on implants,” said Dr. Inge De Latte. “You have all of these individuals in the world and everybody is different. Pro Arch gives us a solution for everybody. I love working with that concept.”
The main goal of the event was to share clinical experiences and knowledge, and to discuss different treatment approaches under the Straumann Pro Arch concept. Luigi Cappugi, European marketing manager for Straumann commented, “The idea is to give experts a platform where they can share knowledge and innovations and can discuss which are the optimal solutions for treating their patients. Giving them the opportunity to confront and discuss professional experiences in an interactive way and to acquire new skills.”
“I thought the event was fantastic, very informative,” said summit participant Dr. Abid Faqir. “I liked it because we could share our daily experiences. It’s wonderful because some people think in another way, but at the end of the day we can reach a consensus, which makes it a terrific event,” concluded Dr. De Latte.
“The event was very positive, greatly exceeding our expectations. Our main conclusion was that we appreciate the importance of an open discussion, which has a beneficial effect and influence on the solutions offered to clinicians and can support them in identifying the optimal one. Solutions can be tailored to meet the needs of each patient and should be consistent with the findings and scientific evidence.” concluded Luigi Cappugi.
“I consider the Pro Arch summit a fantastic event because we can share knowledge,” said Prof. Caramês. “We are among experts and we learn a lot. I believe we have to continue with the Pro Arch Summit. It’s an opportunity to learn more about the concept, the more advanced techniques, and how to improve treatment for our patients.”
“I think this has been such an important event,” said Dr. Faqir. “Everyone is so well-informed and important discussions have come out of it. It would be a brilliant exercise to continue with this initiative.”
The Straumann Pro Arch Summit demonstrated confidence, flexibility and efficiency in the system designed for primary stability and treatment flexibility. "The event is a sharing platform. It wasn't a question of right or wrong answers, but above all, it gave us the opportunity to discuss ideas,” summarized Luigi Cappugi on behalf of Straumann.
