WIN Turkey – Implantology Through Women’s Eyes

Inspire. Engage. Be part of the change. WIN

Implantology Through Women’s Eyes

Who runs the world? Girls! This is how we describe the general mood of the two organized ITI Women's Meetings, which took place on April 14th and May 5th in the two largest cities in Turkey. These meetings created the perfect opportunity to meet inspiring role models, engage with like-minded women dentists, and learn how to maximize your potential to accomplish personal and career goals. On the agenda: lectures, personal development sessions – and simply enjoying the moment!

Nice to meet you!

The meeting started with a brunch, giving an outstanding opportunity to connect, reconnect and catch up over great food.

Imagine & Inspire

The brunch was followed by the personal development sessions; discovering the role of women in dentistry, learning how to communicate effectively, how to set goals, how to use influence to achieve these goals, how to create and grow your personal brand and how to effectively manage dental clinics. The main goal of these personal development sessions was to make participants feel at ease and confident with the changes they want to make in their lives and to realize their full potential.

Power of Knowledge

The scientific part of the project covered topics on Long-Term Implant Success (by Dr. Bahar Eren Kuru), Prosthetics Planning and Contradictions in Fully - Edentulous Cases (by Prof. Dr. Banu Karayazgan & Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yurdanur Uçar).

Feedback

The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. They found the carefully selected personal development topics and up-to-date scientific lectures extremely beneficial for their career, and felt inspired by the achievements of the talented women they came to know. They mentioned that this type of meeting should be held every year since it is an ideal platform for women dentists to share their views and experiences. They also believe that becoming a part of this community will seriously benefit the newly graduating women dentists and will positively affect the number of women practicing implantology in the very near future. Not only were these meetings an exciting experience, both for participants and ourselves, they also created the perfect basis for the upcoming Straumann WIN projects.
