Straumann® Biomaterials sponsor of the “DG PARO Prize on Innovative Therapy”

With this engagement, the Straumann Biomaterials department underlines once again that the collaboration with dental professionals for research and innovation is a hallmark of our success.

From the publications submitted for evaluation, an independent jury chose as winner the human randomized controlled trial with the theme "Consumption of Lactobacillus reuteri-containing lozenges improves periodontal health in navy sailors at sea: A randomized controlled trial". The study was conducted by Ulrich Schlagenhauf (Department of Periodontology, University Hospital Wuerzburg, Wuerzburg, Germany), Juliane Rehder (German Naval Medical Institute, Kronshagen, Germany), Götz Gelbrich (Institute of Clinical Epidemiology and Biometry, University of Wuerzburg, Wuerzburg, Germany) and Yvonne Jockel-Schneider (Department of Periodontology, University Hospital Wuerzburg, Wuerzburg, Germany).

On behalf of Straumann®, Laurentiu Motoc (Global Product Manager Biomaterials) and Dr. Dominic Birth (Product Manager Biomaterials Germany) handed over the prize and congratulated the winning team represented on site by Prof. Dr. Schlagenhauf.
