On March 20th, Straumann Group China held their first female roundtable forum, called "WIN - Awesome Her," focusing on skill building and career growth of female dentists.

This event had two main objectives:

1. Help women at different stages of their professional journey in dentistry to realize that choosing a career as a dentist is not only a lifelong choice, but also a long-term career development path
2. Give the public a deeper understanding of female dentists and the industry, easing the relationship between doctors and patients Event Overview

The roundtable consisted of 13 female dentists who shared their experiences about their professional careers, clinical practice, and growth and learning paths. These participants took a deep dive into the following topics:

• Why did you choose to become a dentist?
• What people/aspects had a great impact in your career?
• What is your most memorable patient story?
• If work is the A side of life, then, what is the B side of your life?

As part of the activities planned for the event, a female dentist interview video was released via Straumann WeChat video account, reaching 39,000 views, 1,105 likes and 593 reposts.

What is next for WIN China?

In June 2021, WIN members in China will continue activities to support WIN’s journey in the country. Next up is a video interview with Dr. Jin Yanxue. The objective of this interview is to showcase the future development of WIN and to discuss work- life balance for women in dentistry.
