It’s Time to WIN INDIA

Among many unprecedented challenges, 2020 ended on a positive note for us here at WIN INDIA. While the whole world was under gloom, the WIN INDIA chapter started on a high note with a group of highly energetic women dentists coming together to launch WIN in India on Dec 11, 2020. Globally, WIN INDIA has the largest community, with 625 members and still growing!

Laying a strong foundation

Our quest for acclaimed women leaders was intense, and we connected with women all across the nation. Our search led to a diverse and multifaceted group of nine vibrant and energetic women from different walks of dentistry who are all united by the mission of practicing world-class implantology throughout India.

Each of them has carved a niche for themselves, and in addition to their achievements in the field of implantology they also shoulder numerous responsibilities and shine in different roles professionally as well as personally.

Core Team meets for the first time

Our first meeting was as power-packed as we had hoped. While the first day was attended by our global WIN leaders—Charlotte Stillwell, WIN global founding member and president-elect of ITI & Francesca De Santi, Straumann Senior Global Manager of Medical Marketing & Excellence—we had our Core Team of nine strong female dentists with us. We not only discussed the challenges being faced by us as women dentists but we also established the structure, roles and responsibilities of the Core Team.

Over the next one and a half days, we immersed ourselves in an interesting Speaker Development Program on storytelling and brand-building, led by a female stalwart Ms. Paroma Roy Chowdhury, Senior Director, Asia Communications & Public Affairs, SoftBank Group International. The Core Team had the unique opportunity to bond with each other over their own stories while they learned the art of storytelling.

Our nine-strong women dentist group participated energetically and left their comfort zones to step up into their roles as women leaders and speakers.
