On Saturday October 2, 2021, 100 dental professionals gathered to celebrate, unite and inspire women across the dental industry in South Africa. Men, women, general dentists, specialists, oral hygienists, and dental assistants came together with a common purpose – to bring about positive change in the field of dentistry for women!

The theme for the event was #AgainstAllOdds. Led by our local WIN Ambassador Corlene Schnetler, attendees heard from local industry greats who shared their work and personal experiences on how they have achieved success in their relevant fields despite the challenges they may have faced (or still face).

Banquet rounds, featuring blue and white floral arrangements, made for an intimate setting with maximum social interaction and networking opportunities. Postcards from the recent WIN Global ‘10 Women in Dentistry’ online campaign were incorporated into the centerpieces to reinforce the commitment of women throughout history towards advancing in the dental industry.

Guests were treated to the Mount Nelson’s famous signature brunch menu, followed by a delightful goodie bag filled with brilliant gifts from both Straumann Group South Africa and exhibitors at the event.

Overall, the event was very well received and will definitely be added to the annual event calendar moving forward!
