A Straumann P2P event

Ceramic implants are designed to meet the high esthetic expectations of patients and to overcome challenging esthetic gingival situations. The Straumann P2P (peer-to-peer) program, combined with meticulous patient selection and superbly synchronized teamwork, made it possible to place 27 implants within three days. The respective teams were supported, within the framework of the peer-to-peer cooperation, by Straumann dental experts (Prof. Michel Dard – Columbia University, New York, USA; Dr. Susy Cok and dental technician Boris Martin). Four to six months after surgery, and following the digital impression procedures (IOS), the final crowns were milled and loaded within a period of two days. Patients will be further screened on a regular basis over the next few years.

“The P2P approach corresponds to the ultimate level of partnership between corporate and academic practitioners to conduct high-quality real-world clinical observations for the benefit of the patients. It has established itself during the last five years as the highest performing approach in the clinical dentistry field” Prof. Michel Dard

About the Straumann P2P events

This highly efficient partnership design and the close collaboration between experts from academia, clinical practice and industry creates an interesting and innovative scientific approach that can serve as a model for future scientific investigations. “Managing a P2P event implies a performance-oriented mindset, for instance in this case 19 patients underwent surgery in highly controlled conditions during a pre-determined short period of time” Dr. Susy Cok
