Samir Abou-Ayash

In 2024, he was appointed Director of the Department of Prosthodontics and Dental Materials at the University Medical Center Mainz, Germany. Prior to this appointment, he served at the University of Bern, Switzerland, where he was Head of Postgraduate Education and Deputy Director of the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry. He also led the Division of Digital Implantology. His academic career began at the University of Freiburg, Germany, where he worked in the Department of Prosthodontics until 2016. He completed his habilitation in 2021 and was appointed Associate Professor in 2023. He is a certified specialist in implant dentistry (DGI), prosthodontics (DGPro), and reconstructive dentistry (SSRD). In addition, he holds an Executive MBA in Medical Management. Active member of several leading professional organizations, including the International Team for Implantology (ITI), the German Society of Dentistry and Oral Medicine (DGZMK), the Digital Dental Society (DDS), the German Association of Oral Implantology (DGI), and the German Society of Prosthodontics and Biomaterials (DGPro).
