Mario Roccuzzo

Dr. Mario Roccuzzo is Senior Lecturer in the Division of Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Torino and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan, USA. He teaches periodontology in various postgraduate master’s programs at several universities. An ITI Honorary Fellow and Study Club Director in Torino, Dr. Roccuzzo is a past president of the ITI Italian Section and a former Chair of the ITI Leadership Development Committee. He is also a member of the Osteology Expert Council and serves on the editorial boards of Clinical Oral Implants Research, the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, and the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Roccuzzo has lectured in over 50 countries across all continents and maintains a private practice limited to periodontology and implantology in Torino. He has received numerous awards, including Best Clinical Presentation at the 2009 EAO Congress in Monte Carlo, Best Published Research Article from the German Society of Periodontology (DGP) in 2010, and the 2013 Osteology Clinical Research Prize. He is a co-author of ITI Treatment Guide Volume 12: Peri-implant Soft-Tissue Integration and Management.
