Descripción

The applications of digital technology in Implant Dentistry include imaging, digital planning, template-guided implant placement, digital impressions with intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM prostheses. Description: The applications of digital technology in Implant Dentistry include imaging, digital planning, template-guided implant placement, digital impressions with intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM prostheses. Digital implant planning and guided surgery, digital impressions with intraoral scanners and CAD/CAM production with 3-D printers and milling units are currently integrated together enhancing treatment workflow. Crucial step in the workflow is the data acquisition with full-arch intraoral digital scanning of the patient and its importance is incumbent on the accuracy of the treatment workflow. This presentation will provide an overview of disruptive technology applications in fixed implant rehabilitation as well as the current scientific status and ongoing innovations. Focus will be given to clinical protocols for accurate full-arch intraoral scanning and subsequent steps in fixed implant rehabilitation of edentulous patients. Learning objectives: Describe the various applications of digital technology in full-arch fixed implant rehabilitation Discuss the scientific evidence for the applications of digital technology in full-arch fixed implant rehabilitation Illustrate step-by-step clinical protocols for the complete digital workflow from impression to final rehabilitation for edentulous patients Highlight key elements for bridging the gap between conventional and digital workflow in full-arch fixed implant rehabilitation
