This lecture explores current concepts in pain management in implant dentistry, including preemptive analgesia and adjunctive medication strategies to reduce postoperative discomfort, improve healing, and enhance patient satisfaction. After attending this presentation, participants will be able to: Understand the principles of preemptive analgesia and its impact on postoperative pain reduction and analgesic requirements. Identify and select appropriate analgesics for effective postoperative pain management in implant patients. Apply evidence-based combination therapies to enhance analgesic efficacy while minimizing side effects. Integrate adjunctive medications to reduce postoperative swelling and promote soft tissue healing.
