Neodent becomes distributor for Amann Girrbach in Brazil

  • Strong partner to drive Amann Girrbach’s business in Brazil
  • State-of-the-art in-lab CADCAM milling system enables Neodent to penetrate the lab segment

Curitba, 16 November 2015: Straumann’s Brazilian subsidiary Neodent and Amann Girrbach, a global leader in CADCAM milling equipment for dental laboratories, have signed a distribution agreement for Amann Girrbach’s full range of products and services in Brazil. Neodent will begin to market and sell the products through its own dedicated sales and service team with effect of 1 January 2016.

Amann Girrbach covers the full workflow for dental labs to produce CADCAM prosthetics in house for tooth-borne and implant-based restorations. At the heart of its system is the Ceramill range of CADCAM milling equipment, complemented by high-performance materials, which have been developed through decades of expertise and processing technology.

Closer to the goal of being a full service provider

“Amann Girrbach’s state-of-the-art CADCAM milling system opens lab doors for us to provide a comprehensive range of solutions. Neodent’s high quality dental implant system, our Digital CADCAM solution with centralized-milling, together with the power of Dental Wings’ scanning capabilities and the convenience of Amann Girrbach’s in-lab solution, bring us closer to our goal of being a full service provider for labs and dentists,” explained Matthias Schupp, CEO of Neodent and Head of LATAM for the Straumann Group.

Strong partner to leverage business

The distribution agreement is linked to sales performance targets and provides Amann Girrbach with an exceptionally strong partner to leverage its business – Neodent is the leading implant company in Brazil, which is one of the world’s largest markets for tooth replacement and restoration.

Jeferson Calgaro, Managing Director of Amann Girrbach’s subsidiary in Brazil added: “We believe that this partnership will advance our mission to provide the Brazilian dental-lab industry with a completely integrated range of CADCAM products and service solutions designed to ensure the success of their in-house process”.

Amann Girrbach developing CARES in-lab milling solution with Straumann Group

In March, Straumann and Amann Girrbach announced a collaboration to offer dental laboratories a 5-axis milling machine developed by Amann Girrbach to operate with the Straumann CARES CADCAM system. The collaboration also includes the supply of Straumann pre-milled titanium abutment blanks to labs using Amann Girrbach equipment, enabling them to produce their own one-piece customized abutments with original Straumann connections. The new milling machine will be competitively priced and is to be launched initially in Central Europe in the coming months with other regions to follow.
