Once logged into your AXS account, select “Create New Case,” choose “Smile in a Box,” and upload your patient’s DICOM and STL files. From there, you can specify treatment preferences and collaborate with your planning partner for surgical and restorative planning.

What types of cases are supported?

Smile in a Box® supports a wide range of clinical scenarios – from single-tooth to full-arch restorations – including guided surgery for bone-level and tissue-level implants, immediate restorations, and digital prosthetic workflows.

What file formats does Smile in a Box® on AXS support?

The platform supports standard DICOM files for CBCT data and STL/PLY files for intraoral or model scans. These formats ensure compatibility with most scanners and planning software in the market.

How do I review and approve my treatment plan?

You’ll receive a notification in AXS once your digital plan is ready. Simply log in to review the final proposal, add comments if needed, and approve it directly within the platform. The production of your surgical guide and customized components begins immediately after approval.
