The Straumann Group Foundation

How we work

Framework for trust and impact

Trust, transparency, and impact guide everything we do. At the Straumann Group Foundation, our way of working is rooted in strong principles and clear structures – from how we select our partners to how we monitor the outcome of our support.

We are guided by shared values, a mission-driven mindset, and a commitment to collaboration. Our governance ensures that every decision is made with care, consistency, and accountability.

On this page, you’ll find an overview of our operating principles, our leadership and formal structure, how we evaluate and measure impact, and the legal framework that underpins our work.

Operating principles

Our operating principles are based on the Straumann Group Foundation Purpose, Vision and Mission values. We build on the same core values as the Straumann Group and the essence of the Straumann Group Code Of Conduct. Our evaluation of partnerships follow clear criteria for partners, with projects supported by a widely common impact framework. A structured evaluation process following our governance makes the grant process fair, transparent and comprehensible.

  • Collaboration and compassion

We partner with NPOs, healthcare organizations,  and dental professionals to maximize our reach and impact. We work with like-minded organizations, communities, and experts to create meaningful change, guided by empathy and a shared  commitment to improving oral health.

  • Integrity and transparency

The Foundation complies with Swiss foundation law.  It has been granted a non-profit status by the  authorities and remains under Swiss federal oversight including an external audit. We uphold honesty,  accountability, and ethical principles while  maintaining clear communication with our stakeholders.

  • Financial and in-kind support

We provide financial aid, expertise, training,  and equipment to improve oral health  and well-being. To make this possible, the Straumann Group has made a long-term commitment to funding.

  • Sustainable social impact and systemic change

We are dedicated to improving access to oral  healthcare without profit. We drive long-term improvements by addressing both immediate needs and root causes while influencing healthcare systems on a broader scale. We monitor all initiatives for impact.

Formal governance

The Straumann Group Foundation is guided by a dedicated board and a professional management team committed to transparency, integrity, and accountability. Our governance structure ensures that all decisions are made respon-sibly and in alignment with our mission. Oversight by an independent auditor further supports our commitment to good governance and trust.

A Strategy Guided By Impact

At the Straumann Group Foundation, making a difference means more than good intentions – it means delivering measurable, lasting impact. We work with a globally recognized impact framework to guide and assess our efforts, to ensure that our activities truly benefit the people and communities we aim to support.

We carefully monitor all initiatives we fund or run ourselves, and we expect the same from our partners. Transparency, accountability, and continuous learning are at the heart of how we work – because every step should bring us closer to meaningful change.
