Programs
We believe that oral health is fundamental to overall well-being and millions of people worldwide lack access to essential dental care and suffer from preventable conditions. We are dedicated to improving access to oral health and enhancing the quality of life for underserved populations with a focus on dental care.
That’s why we focus our programs on improving access to essential dental health services. Geographically, we aim at low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) or vulnerable groups in highincome contexts. Our programs are structured into two main pillars: Restoring Smiles and Basic Dental Care.
Two program pilars
Programs to support access to implant-based smile restorations for people in need in cooperation with dental professionals.
Programs to provide essential dental care, build oral health awareness and improve healthcare infrastructure in partnership with other non-profit organizations and dental technicians.
Restoring smiles
A typical Restoring Smiles program is ̒Let Them Shine USAʼ, a non-profit initiative founded in 2019 by Straumann Group North America employees. Based in the U.S., it provides dental implants to patients who cannot afford treatment. In partnership with volunteer clinicians, dental technicians, and supported by Straumann Group’s products and expertise, the program transforms lives by delivering smiles.
What began as a local success story has become a model for a broader mission. Today, Restoring Smiles is expanding implant-based care to more countries and communities worldwide, reaching those who need it most.

Millions of people struggle to access fundamental dental services – from a simple check-up to the treatment of pain, tooth decay, or gum disease. That’s where our Basic Dental Care programs come in. In partnership with trusted non-profit organizations (NPOs) and local care providers, we support programs that bring essential dental care directly to under-served populations.
Our goal is simple: no one should have to live in pain, struggle to eat or be afraid to smile due to lack of basic care. That’s why we support scalable sustainable solutions that address both immediate needs, build awareness and contribute to stronger local healthcare systems in the long run.
