Description

This lecture will explore two critical topics in modern implant dentistry. The first focuses on the use of short implants as a viable alternative to complex grafting procedures with normal-length implants, particularly in the posterior maxilla. By examining the latest research, this session will highlight the benefits and considerations of short implants in clinical practice.

The second topic addresses the significance of peri-implant soft tissue in the longevity of dental implants. Over the past 15 years, the quality and quantity of peri-implant soft tissue have been increasingly recongnised as essential factors for implant success. This lecture will discuss various methods to enhance peri-implant soft tissue, including the use of xenografts as an alternative to autografts for tissue thickening.

Product segments: Implantology
