From the purpose of creating smiles to building the world’s largest dental implant complex, Neodent was born from the vision of democratizing implant dentistry - idealized by Dr. Geninho Thomé.

30 years ago, we began a history of success.

1975

Dr. Geninho Thomé begins his Dentistry studies, taking the first step in a journey driven by clinical purpose.

1993

Neodent is founded in Curitiba by Dr. Geninho Thomé with a vision to democratize implant dentistry. In 1998, it opens its first official headquarters, structuring its growing operations.

2004

ILAPEO, the Latin American Institute of Dental Research and Education, is inaugurated, supporting the clinical driven foundations of Neodent.

2006

Neodent establishes its first international branch in Lisbon, Portugal.

2009

A new 12,000 m2 manufacturing facility strengthens industrial capacity.

2012

Straumann acquires 49% of Neodent, initiating a strategic partnership. In 2015, Neodent is fully acquired by Straumann Group and strength its operations globally.

2016

Neodent starts the social project New Smiles Expedition, a nationwide social initiative bringing free, high-quality oral care to vulnerable populations.

2019

ClearCorrect is launched in Brazil, with the first production site outside the USA. Neodent also expands into biomaterials with the acquisition of Yller.

2020

A new 12,000 m2 state-of-the-art plant opens in Curitiba for implants and aligners, and in 2022 it expands to 20.0002 m.

2023

Neodent Celabrates its 30th anniversary with a World Tour that took the founder across 13 countries.

2026

Neodent’s 3rd factory is launched, creating the largest smile complex in the world!

Inspiration

An inspiration may come from many different ways, like a trip or a book for example. However, for Dr. Geninho Thomé, his inspiration came from his medical oath.
