Labrida BioClean™

for effective debridement of dental implant surfaces.

Labrida BioClean™.
A clinical proven solution for effective debridement of dental implant surfaces.

Labrida BioClean™ is designed for cleaning of osseointegrated dental implants and/or teeth (pocket depths ≥ 4mm). The fibers of Labrida BioClean™ brush are made out of chitosan, whose bacteriostatic and anti-inflammatory properties are documented.10-12

Dental implants need regular care.

Dental implants are an increasingly popular method of replacing lost teeth and their long-term success is well documented. However, similar to a natural tooth, plaque-forming bacteria can build up on the base of dental implants, resulting in an inflammation of the surrounding soft- and hard-tissue.

Biofilm management is key.

Removal of plaque-forming bacteria from the infected dental implant/tooth surface is the first step in biofilm management, followed by the inactivation of biofilm forming microorganisms, soft and, in advanced cases, hard tissue management and finally, a follow-up plan to maintain peri-implant health.

Labrida Fish

Chitosan - bacteriostatic,
anti-inflammatory and resorbable.

The bristles of the Labrida BioClean™ brush are made of chitosan. Chitosan is partly deacetylated chitin from shrimp shells. The chitosan used in Labrida BioClean™ is extracted from a sustainable and exclusive source - the shell of the cold water shrimp Pandalus borealis.

Chitosan

  • has documented bacteriostatic and anti-inflammatory properties10-12
  • is a non-allergenic marine biopolymer
  • is biocompatible and resorbable
