Horia Barbu, MD, DMD, PhD, MSc, is an expert in oral surgery and implantology, currently serving as President of the General Dental Council of Bucharest.
A full professor and Head of the Oral Implantology Department at “Titu Maiorescu” University, he is also responsible for postgraduate training in oral surgery. With over two decades of academic and clinical leadership, Prof. Dr. Barbu has contributed extensively to research, education, and surgical innovation in peri-implant bone and soft tissue management.
Dr. Barbu has been actively involved in education, lecturing on local and international stages, and leading education courses for post-graduates and experienced dental professional at Horia Barbu Advanced Dental Education Center, a training facility set-up in partnership with “Titu Maiorescu” University and Straumann Group.
He is the director of ITI Study Club Bucharest Academics in Romania.
