The Program is sponsored and managed by Institut Straumann AG, with registered office in Basel, Switzerland, Peter Merian-Weg 12 (“Straumann”).

Scope

The Straumann RISE program is a two-year program consisting of six in-person modules, community calls, a clinical residency, and active participation in selected Straumann events (“Program”). For the first edition of the Program, applications are open to candidates from Central and Eastern European countries, Straumann Emerging Markets, and Switzerland. Please refer to the full list of eligible countries here.

The Program will consist of the following modules:

Costs & reimbursement

  • Expenses covered by Straumann: the costs for the Program including the in-person modules and fees for the clinical residency centers are covered by Straumann.
  • Expenses that participants will have to cover: Participants are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses for the six in-person modules. In addition, meal expenses incurred during the clinical residency (Module 5) are at the participant’s discretion and own expense.
  • In addition, any costs related to visa applications (including visa fees, processing charges, and any associated administrative expenses) are the sole responsibility of the participant. If a visa is required, Straumann will provide an official invitation letter to support the visa application upon request.
  • Educational activities delivered by participants: As an integral part of the Program and a requirement for successful completion, participants will have the opportunity to contribute to peer development and educational activities, including mentoring and presentations at Straumann symposia and/or congresses. No speaker fees or other forms of compensation may be claimed; However, travel and accommodation expenses directly related to these activities will be covered by Straumann in accordance with company policy, limited to economy class airfare and 4-star category accommodation.

Withdrawal / Early termination

Participation in the Program requires a firm commitment to completing the full 24-month curriculum.

In the event that a participant withdraws from the Program before completion, Straumann reserves the right to invoice a fee of EUR 1,000 per module not yet attended, as a contribution toward organizational and administrative costs already incurred.

Straumann further reserves the right to exclude a participant from the Program in case of non-compliance with these Terms of Participation or failure to meet the Program requirements. In such cases, the above-mentioned fee may also apply at Straumann’s discretion.

Time & travel requirements

The time commitment for participants will be approximately 1.5 days per in-person module, plus travel time (see timeline here: application steps). In addition, participants are required to attend bi-monthly community calls of approximately 60–90 minutes each. Participation in major Straumann events is recommended throughout the duration of the Program.
