Module 5 | Q4 2027 – Q1 2028

Clinical hospitation – advancing clinical excellence while integrating structured case documentation into real-world practice

Clinical residency & advanced treatment concepts module

This module provides participants with immersive, hands-on clinical exposure through a structured clinical residency at a Straumann customer or Key Opinion Leader (KOL) clinic. It is designed to bridge advanced clinical concepts with real-world practice, enabling participants to observe, understand, and integrate high-level implant-based restorative workflows into their own clinical routines.

Participants enhance their clinical expertise by expanding their treatment portfolio and gaining in-depth insights into advanced implant-based restorative concepts through individualized training at world-renowned clinical centers. Particular emphasis is placed on integrating effective case documentation into daily clinical practice, including the alignment of workflows, key stakeholders, and practical facilitation.

Residencies are tailored to participants’ individual areas of interest and provide focused exposure to specific treatment concepts, while fostering clinical confidence and excellence through direct observation and guided learning.

Key focus areas include:

  • Integrating case documentation into everyday clinical routines
  • Advancing implant-based restorative treatment expertise
  • Individualized training in advanced treatment concepts
  • Exposure to best practices at Straumann customer and KOL clinics
  • Focus areas such as full-arch rehabilitation, esthetics, and digital dentistry workflows

Designed to strengthen clinical competence and broaden therapeutic perspectives, this module enables participants to translate advanced clinical knowledge into daily practice while learning from leading experts within the Straumann network. Particular emphasis is placed on integrating effective case documentation into routine clinical workflows, including the alignment of processes, key stakeholders, and practical facilitation to ensure structured and sustainable implementation.

To ensure individualized supervision while covering a broad range of indications and treatment options, participants may choose from six carefully selected clinics. The clinical hospitation will be completed in pairs, with two participants attending the selected clinic together. The clinics will make every reasonable effort to have patients presenting with the defined indications available during the observership; however, availability may depend on clinical scheduling and case flow.

Please find below an overview of the clinical focus areas offered by each respective clinic.
