Straumann at the ITI World Symposium 2017

Basel, Switzerland - May 4-6, 2017

Efficient treatment protocol: the digital workflow

Digitalization is impacting the world of dentistry immensely as it becomes one of the most innovative and fastest growing areas in the field. Digital processes, that have been introduced into dentistry already some years ago, will have a tremendous effect on the way dentists and dental technicians will work in the future. Nearly all steps of the dental implant therapy, namely treatment planning, placing of the implant as well as production the temporary and final restorations will be affected by this technology. Therefore, it is expected, that digitalization will not only significantly change the workflow in both dental offices and laboratories, but also make implant dentistry more predictable, reliable and more efficient. The symposium addressed the digital workflow from different angles and the data presented during the symposium clearly indicated how these exiting technologies can be linked together into on digital workflow and used in daily dental practice.
