Fastest way to get started
The easiest and fastest way to start with your 3Shape TRIOS® is to onboard yourself.
Our guided Do-It-Yourself Training takes you step by step through preparation, unboxing, setup, and your first scan — so you can get up and running smoothly, at a time that suits you.
Need some extra help? On-Site Training with one of our trainers is also available for hands-on support at your clinic.

Before your scanner arrives, complete the checklist below to ensure everything is ready for a smooth self-installation. Taking a few minutes to prepare your clinic, accounts, and workspace will help you get started quickly and confidently.

Great job completing the preparation steps- you are now ready to unpack your scanner. Go to the unboxing videos and select your purchased scanner model. Follow the step-by-step instructions to unpack your equipment and verify that all components are included. Once you have completed the unboxing process, continue to the Setup step.

Who should attend the installation & training?
We recommend that all team members who will use the scanner attend, including clinicians and support staff. This ensures everyone is confident and aligned from day one.

How long will the installation and training take?
Installation and onboarding typically take between 2–4 hours, depending on your setup and system readiness. This includes device setup, software configuration, and hands-on training.

My scanner tip is broken. What should I do?
Please email cadcam.support.se@straumann.com and inform us that your scanner tip is broken. A support case will be created automatically when we receive your email. Our Support team will then send you a link to complete the complaint form with the required information.
