Straumann TLX™ 4 mm Implant

Extra-short implant for limited bone availability.

The Straumann TLX™ 4 mm is an extra-short tissue level implant designed for minimally invasive, graftless treatment in cases of limited bone availability. Developed for predictable primary stability in all bone types, it maximizes bone-to-implant contact while preserving peri-implant health. Combined with Roxolid® material and SLActive® surface technology, TLX 4 mm offers a reliable alternative to bone grafting and sinus lift procedures, enabling simplified workflows and reduced treatment complexity.

Reduced invasiveness

Enables minimally invasive, graftless, fast treatment option for severely resorbed sites in both mandible and maxilla. 1-2

True alternative to sinus lift

4.0 mm extra short implants deliver results akin to long implants with a sinus lift but with fewer complications. Given their less invasive, quicker, and cost-effective nature, coupled with lower associated morbidity, opting for extra short implants might be a favorable choice over a sinus lift procedure.2

Reliability

Extra-short implants are a reliable treatment option for resorbed sites.3

Indications

Straumann TLX™ 4 mm implants are indicated for bridges and full-arch restorations in the mandible and maxilla.

Bridge

  • For severe atrophic mandibles.
  • Fixed partial denture/splinted units.

Full-arch

  • Bone Level full-arch with short implant in the back to avoid grafting.
  • Fully edentulous, in combination with two longer implants in the anterior region.
