Archetype Quiz
In the context of the online archetype quiz (the “Quiz”), Institut Straumann AG, Peter Merian-Weg 12, CH-4052 Basel, Switzerland and its local subsidiaries (“Straumann”), and its third-party partners bound by appropriate data protection agreements, collect and process certain personal data of quiz participants. Straumann acts as the data controller for this processing. Straumann’s overall Privacy Notice applies to this processing and is supplemented by the provisions below.
Purpose of the processing
The purpose of the Quiz is to better understand professional interests at a high level and to improve the relevance of Straumann’s marketing content. Based on the answers provided, participants are assigned to a broad interest archetype, which is displayed at the end of the Quiz. Aggregated quiz results may also be used for statistical and analytical purposes to support the development of future marketing activities.
Personal data processed
Depending on how you participate in the Quiz, Straumann may process:
- quiz responses,
- an assigned interest archetype,
- an email address, if you choose to provide it.
If no email address is provided, quiz responses are processed without directly identifying the participant. No special categories of personal data are collected.
Legal basis
Processing of quiz participation and archetype assignment is based on Straumann’s legitimate interest in understanding professional interests and improving marketing relevance. Where applicable local legislation does not recognise legitimate interest as a valid legal basis for this type of processing, Straumann will seek the participant’s consent prior to processing. If you choose to subscribe to marketing communications, your email address and archetype will be processed for that purpose based on your consent.

Newsletter subscription
Subscription to marketing communications is optional and not required to participate in the Quiz. If you subscribe, you will receive marketing content tailored to your archetype. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in each communication.
Data retention
Archetype data is retained for a limited period aligned with marketing planning cycles and is periodically reviewed to ensure continued relevance. Participants may be invited in the future to retake the Quiz in order to update their declared interests.
Third-party service providers
To operate the Quiz, Straumann may work with third-party service providers acting as processors under appropriate data protection agreements.
Your rights
Where Straumann acts as data controller, you have the rights described in Straumann’s general Privacy Notice, including the right to access, rectify or delete your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent where applicable.
